Submissions: Please submit online at
Submissions should contain recent original research relevant  to effective methods in algebraic geometry (in a broad sense), including their foundations, analysis, complexity, computational aspects, practical issues and applications.

There are three types of submissions, distributed over the two deadlines above:

  • Regular papers: for these, authors can choose to submit either an extended abstract of at least four pages (not counting  bibliography) that should contain full results, an outline of the proofs  and all of the main ideas; or else a full paper with complete proofs.
  • Computation presentations: these can concern new software packages,  but also experiments with existing software that have  led to new computational approaches to mathematical proofs/applications relevant to MEGA. Submission should be in the form of a short paper  describing the software or computations.
  • Posters: to be printed on A0, the posters will be exhibited during most of the conference, and during a poster session the authors  will have the opportunity to discuss their work with the conference participants.

All submissions should clearly state the contributions and achievements, with sufficient detail to understand their significance.

Submissions may contain material already submitted elsewhere, but this fact has to be stated explicitly in the abstract. Acceptance of such submissions depends on their special significance for the community.

Acceptance of a submitted contribution means acceptance for oral or poster presentation only. A special issue of a journal is planned to which authors of accepted original papers will be invited to submit the full version after the conference. Only original research contributions will be considered for publication in the journal special issue.
